Captain of Pon Pon Company 1775-1776. Promoted to Lt. Col. In 1776 as commander of Colleton County Regiment. Promoted to Colonel in 1779. POW at the Fall of Charleston, paroled. Recaptured in 1781 and executed by British for allegedly violating his parole.
