In October 1781, Marion authorized to established two new regiments of SC State Troops. Maham promoted to Lt. Colonel or Colonel in October 1781 as commander of SC 3rd Regiment of State Dragoons. Captured by Loyalists in August 1782, paroled, but effectively out for the rest of the war.
